-mid week happy-

someone ^ got her new instax
met long-time friend since pubescent timez: chen xy abigail, at
antoinette located at
30 penhas road, off lavender mrt station.
i got lost and was late so abi had to walk around ntuc.
really glad she's doing more than fine and being comfortable at where she is right now in life. a prime example of rocketing out from the dense lifeless undergrowth aka tj into glory and success.

ok the metaphor was dumb...... but yes.
we visited a gem of hidden outlet treasures; anchorpoint!!! this is top secret guys srsly. i was silently rejoicing at the amount of outlet shops there are in that seemingly lifeless place.

our hours were spent soaking up marvellous discounted items from typo. and then a comforting ikea meal of hotdogs ice-cream and tea.
was pleasantly surprised w/ these eye-catching sweets and japanese goodies blows my socks off anytime. thankew abs.

beyond this lies some running progress.

i did a good run today and i'm really euphoric bc i realized that good runs
  • do not need heavy thoughts to weigh you down. and this is so impt!!!!! all through this week, i've been thinking "*profanity* my legs ache my stomach bloats srsly i'm done, the next round can wait for another day" "why is the sky so dark why do people look so much scarier at night" "the weather very cold and i'm tired" "ok wait for traffic light". i mean, all these menial thoughts have this horrid cumulative effect on me, and sad to say, slows me down to walking pace. walking?!?!?! that's no form for a 21k. i'm glad to say my version 2.0 runs will be just full of counting. sure-fire way of keeping myself occupied for that hour or so! counting to 120 seconds of hardcore sprints alternated with 60 seconds of recuperation walks will do the trick!!
  • happen when targets are met. (which i've decided will be the 120/60 alternation)
  • are defined by perseverance. you want it | you work for it | you feel accomplished bc you have given it your all. and those runs will be the most worthwhile things you've done for the day
  • makes you feel in control of yourself.  food intake is a beeatch to control. *always a tough one for me in all honesty* but running. running!!!! ok that's nuf. but running is doing something, as in it's a verb, so you're not doing nothing. that's control.
  • makes self-acceptance lots easier. peoples' opinions don't scald that much, so i'm thankful for that though i'd love to explore the extent to which i'm fully content this is quite exciting.
